SYNOPSIS

One of the identifying characteristics of professional supervisor is the ability to instill in an employee the value of working toward presently unknown future opportunities. It is difficult to get employees to realize that if they do the best they can, and attempt to expand their potential, they will ultimately benefit more, both in terms of dollars and advancement. A well trained supervisor instills these values throughout the year and again during the Annual Review meeting.

What makes this motivation scenario especially difficult is the fact that there's no way to predict just how the Annual Meeting will unfold and the fact that you can make no definite promises because the you cannot predict the future. Also, hopeful promises that cannot later be delivered only serve to destroy an employee’s confidence and respect for his supervisor. Motivation in the face of the unknown is based on the respect, trust and confidence an employee has in his supervisor and this meeting is where you solidify your relationship.

After reading this eBook and apply its wisdom, ideas, suggestions, examples, tools and proven approaches, you will be able to confidently walk thought the maze of activities surrounding Performance Review meetings regardless of what generally takes place at this important meeting.
